As of May 19, 2026, Fitbit launches will be renamed Google Health Premium. New Fitbit Launches Update Google has Launched new version 4.69 of Fitbit for Android as the last update before the Google Health rebrand. Upon updating, you’re greeted with: “The Fitbit app is becoming the Google Health app.” There’s a preview of the new app icon, while the Fitbit Air is front and center. Focus stats have been redesigned with a larger set of selectable metrics. Of note is the ability to remove the Large circular Steps or Cardio load for a dense 2×3 grid. There’s also the ability to have more than one page.
Similarly, you can customize “Key metrics” in the Health tab. This two-wide grid makes use of large square cards. Instead of a FAB (for non-Premium users), you get a “Log” button beneath the focus stats. This slides up the “Log manually” sheet that has been redesigned with a more grid-like interface. Temperature logging has also returned to the app. For subscribers, you can log with the Health Coach by using an image. Updates In Fitbit The update allows you to customise “Key metrics” in the Health tab.
This uses a side by side layout grid with greeting cards. Instead of a FAB Floating action Button, Guest Users get a “Log” button below the focus stats. This is a redesigned grid-style “Log manually” sheet. The Temperature logging is also back. Subscribers can log in with the Health Coach by uploading an image. The only widget option now is the “Steps Widget.” Lastly, the update has also removed the long-press app shortcuts. Fitbit Launches 4.69 update for Android is now widely rolling out.
