WhatsApp has been known as end-to-end encrypted by default for personal messages, photos etc. WhatsApp has developed a feature that helps Android users backup their WhatsApp chats and data. But now we have come across that the Meta owned company is now testing this feature for IOS as well. Right now iOS users are backing up their data to iCloud . While Android users are backing up their data on google drive. But now , WhatsApp is testing this for iOS users , but it’s still unclear when the release date for the proposed idea. It is an alternative for iOS users.
WhatsApp will give options in the future to opt regarding their backup. WhatsApp will provide iOS users to opt between preferred backup providers. iOS users will have the option to choose any option or simply ignore it. WhatsApp will offer 2 GB storage at the beginning , for the users to store their chat history. While having an advantage of this much storage iOS users still can store their photos, videos, etc on iCloud.
However, they can switch to iCloud anytime. iOS will be completely forgotten when this feature will be launched because while the user is on a WhatsApp provider , it’s unclear what will happen to the iOS account. But here’s the click WhatsApp own provider will have to open from the settings. It will not open on its own. If someone still wants to use the iCloud , they can open it anytime and use it. Many people online are debating over if this is useful or not? Which honestly have created curiosity among many. Some people claim that if they are switching from android to iPhone or vice versa there may be a loss of data or the data might get stuck. But if this feature is approved there will be no more fear of losing data or information.
There would be absolutely no fatigue or tension about anything. People would be head over heels because it is a massive solution for all the people who kept losing their data while converting. Moreover, the exciting part is that it would be entirely free, no cost but high privacy. Plus it’s end-to-end encrypted which means whatever is being shared over the chats remains in the chat. It has not stopped here , iPhone users get total storage of 5 GB which has to manage their documents, photos, videos etc.
For someone ,who shares and has multiple documents it’s not easy. But as mentioned above WhatsApp is offering 2GB storage which will make it easy for all apple users. While all of this is free, if an apple user wants more than 2GB they have to pay WhatsApp. There are multiple reasons why this feature should be enabled to all, the main difference between WhatsApp’s own provider and iCloud is “privacy concern”. iCloud does not provide privacy and safety by default, it has to be turned on manually.
On the other hand, WhatsApp providers make safety and privacy their first priority. However, it is still not confirmed when this feature will be available. People are assuming that this feature would be a massive hit. As there are advantages, people are eagerly waiting for this system to be launched soon. While some are criticizing iCloud for not being able to make a system like this in so many years.
Yet, people are debating online discussing whether this feature will make things go in their way or make things worse. It’s still unclear whether people are satisfied with the proposed model or are they still wanting the feature to come out. Neither WhatsApp have declared any official statement nor they have confirmed the date. It’s still a hot topic among many that WhatsApp will take this golden opportunity and entertain millions of people . There is no such model which is hundred percent perfect , but people claim that this model is going to break all the records. But who knows what’s coming next.
WhatsApp developing its own cloud backup provider for iOS is a game changer. Unlike iCloud, WhatsApp’s cloud has end-to-end encryption. Which offers a high privacy as well as. Moreover, WhatsApp cloud offers large storage for people who have large data bases. It offers both paid and unpaid.
Unpaid WhatsApp cloud provides 2 GB while unpaid offers more. The best click is yet to come. The paid WhatsApp cloud is not costly at all. For users with massive media libraries, WhatsApp will offer a 50 GB storage for approximately [0.99 dollars] per month. WhatsApp cloud will provide a high range of storage for the chat history. At last, this is going to be a feature that will be both exciting as well as interesting to see how such a model is being adopted.
